Eternal socialists are to blame. But theres not much to do about it anymore.
We're definitely going to loose money, but on the other side our tourism has not been based on cheap booze for quite some while(2012-2013 started a new boom of upscale/fine dining restaurants and boutique hotels). Probably some strip clubs, karaoke bars and shitty pubs selling overpriced pippuripihvi will be closed down. Probably there will be less bike taxis and less 50 year old finnish guys in piss soaked pants in the drunk tank. These things will not be missed.
However i am not willing to pay 10€ for a sixpack, i'll rather buy a 24pack of beer from latvia for 8€.
