I mean, except for Brazil and that tiny piece of Frog-land, everyone speaks Spanish, shares the same culture and looks approximately the same shade of sweet caramel milk brown.

Well you clearly do. You guys were colonized by the Spanish, they inherited a great deal of their mindset and architecture to you, not to mention their entire language. That completely colors the base of your culture. Anything on it - such as indigenous culture is just a layer of thin shade.
Like, let's say that Spanish culture is the color is blue. And all Latin American countries are blue. But it doesn't mean they're all have to be the same shade, wtf. Some are a bit lighter, some are dark blue, some a bit greenish, but still blue.

you don't know shit m8 mass migrations of different european groups to different countries, different amounts of natives or blacks making up the population of lots of countries, different histories forging countries with different mindsets, different amounts of power owned by the church in different countries through time. which are pretty much the whole basis to every culture in Latin America, it's from a base simple idea which you construct differences and other cultural aspects. Hence why every country is so similar despite having so many differences. Because deep in the core we are the same. Which Unions like the EU doesn't have this, because they are trying to aggregate cultures with fundamental differences, like protestant, catholic and orthodox cultures which clash in the differences
>>
>>77717305
It's not about being good or bad. It's about you acting as if you're different when you're clearly all the same.

>>77717196
It's not a good thing though. We're "poor" and dumb, so a big country is useless. It hurts to have these proportions and being a big pile of shit at the same time.

A "divided" Brazil would help us with the corruption scandals and with administration overall, and I don't really care if the cultures are different or not, honestly I don't believe we're that different. Maybe more autonomous states, like in the US.

Seriously, being part of a federation hurts. It hurts like hell, it feels like you're trapped and there's nowhere to go or to make some progress. Federations are o.k. if you're powerful and wealthy though.

Those are the things that make a country.
All places have differences. I'm assuming you think Madrid and Barcelona, or Moscow and St. Petersburg are 100% the same. They're not. But they're the same to someone from the outside. That's literally how you define a country btw, it's from the outside. Germans are different from everyone else around them, despite them having huge differences inside their own country. Paraguay and Nicaragua are pretty much the same thing too, like Germany.

That's not the point I'm making. Whether being together or split apart is good or bad isn't really where I'm going for. Tbqh, I'm perfectly fine with Spanish speaking America being split up the way it is.
It's just silly to think they're so different to justify their nationalities. They're about as different as Brazil is. Their nationalities only exist because of greedy generals and politicians and that's about it.
>>
>>77714325
Because the Andes and the Amazon isolate us.

MY VERDICT:
Argentina remains independent and so does Brazil. Uruguay is split between these two.
Paraguay remains independent.
Manlet states next Brazil (Suriname and whatever), no idea what to do with those.
Chile, Peru, Colombia etc will combine into one country.
Middle American countries are absorbed by Mexico.

Thoughts?

Right, I must be blind or something, those Hungarian and Finnish posts are clearly imaginary.

>And you know jackshit about anything else, and you base your argument on that.
>It is like saying that I know jackshit about Portugal from what I see there is no difference between Marrakech and Porto.
Anyone can tell those two places speak different languages and practice different religions. Anyone who asks those locals what they think of their nations knows they'll get different answers.
The same is not true with LatAm. Sorry you're so mad about that, jeez.

yeah but the map is clearly about South America
in that map the worst one is French Guiana, lowest GDP in France even but HDI isn't measured because "muh territory"
so the answer is Bolivia. which it's funny because everybody loves how Bolivia is "wow so authentic" like some hippie commie pinkos
if Brazil was separated into different regions, some would compete head-to-head with which one is the worse. but yeah Dom Pedro I

Lmao, in Brazil we talk about splitting our country and here you say that we should unite together with all south america.
There are big movements here, the biggest one is O Sul e meu pais(The south is my country), the second one is Sao Paulo livre(Free Sao Paulo) and then the group that wants the empire back with the old real family(it`s pritty large, in the80 there were a plebiscit about people choice between republic and epire and about 15% of the country voted for the empire).
So at least in Brazil it`s not even a possibility since we want to split ourselves, not get bigger.

The South Americans countries (not Chile though) have proven that they are incapable of governing themselves and managing their economies in an efficient manner. I don't care about the reasons, it's their problems, but I came with a partial solution. They should govern themselves and take care of their political issues but transfer to us the power to manage their economies and trade, so we will give each of them the money their earnings yearly (according to a responsible budget), setting aside money to their denbts (including our small fee for the service) and what's left will go into savings and investment

>You can't seriously believe the history of Colombia and Venezuela is as different as that of France and Germany

I don't know, that comparison doesn't make sense. But yes, Colombia and Venezuela have very different political histories, result of being independent countries for 2 centuries.

Actually most people in Colombia doesn't know the political history of Venezuela and viceversa. As I said, we are separare countries. In school we get taught our own national history, not Venezuela's or any other country's history. Colombian media covers Colombian news mostly, and so on. It has been like that for 200 years.
