Why dont Americans build anymore?

Government deadlock mostly. We can't even get our highways, waterways, and railways enough funding to stop them from crumbling, there's no way that well be making a Three Gorges dam or anything like that soon.

We need to get to work on our highways first. It would be nice to build a high speed rail system, but need better roads and bridges first.

Not sure what you guys are talking about. Half the tallest buildings in NYC were built after 2010

2 reasons
1. Not enough money for infrastructure
2. GOP is in control and anything that doesn't go towards the military is communism. Spending money on building new things would raise MUH TAXES.

I think we need to focus on properly maintaining the things we have right now, before focusing on building new things.
