Tbh it's pretty much a fact of life that gun control (at least here in Australia) makes the cops more amicable, when they pull someone over for a traffic violation they implicitly know that a pistol isn't going to be pointing at their face when they walk up and I think it seriously does make their interactions with the community far less hostile. The problem is that America already has so many firearms that even if the 2nd amendment was repealed tomorrow there's so many in circulation that nothing would really change.

What we have more than anything is a class problem in this country, not a racial problem.
