How is this even a fucking contest? A dog is an invaluable companion, like having your best friend as a roommate. A cat is like having a Chinese guy who hates the west and won't flush the toilet as your roommate. Sure he's sort of smart, compact size, and can eat gross things, but a friend he is not.

My mother and with little help from us raised 5 generations of cats, the most special were Bassoos (play on the name 'arabic pastry' because of his mane) and the little fighter Coconut.

Coconut looked exactly like OP and was born with a severe form of dwarfism called osteochondroplasia, and despite her arthritic stiff joints she fought to act normal amongst the other cats/kittens.

We found her dead at 6 months outside our yard door, possibly sudden cardiac death, but we're not sure the maid didn't flush her with water until she drowned
