I think PO naming the judges was unconstitutional (I'm not lawyer or anything, but naming successors doesn't strike me as democratic)
However, the PiS reform is circumventing the separation of powers principle, even if they are "in the right", they shouldn't control all branches from constitutional standpoint either.

Parliamentary majority already has some influence over the judiciary, it chooses some judges for the National Council of the Judiciary(KRS) which is responsible for appointing new judges.

Anyway, the main accusation against the reform wasn't that judges would be appointed by politicians, but that the prosecutor general who is also the minister of justice would get excessive powers and would be able to replace the entire Supreme Court and KRS in one sweep.

We do need immigrants and desperately. Where he is wrong is that he wants to use migrants for that. That is a mistake. They don't respect our laws, ignore our borders. What we need to do is create an immigration policy similar to that of Canada's or America's. Accepting only highly skilled immigrant from all over the world with degrees, rewarding those who use the proper channels. Doctors, engineers, whatever we need. And trust me, our crumbling healthcare system that is falling the fuck apart as we speak, could use them.
I know our country isn't much, but it's WAAAY better than anything in Latin America, Africa, or most of Asia. We do have an attraction value. But our politicians are crooked and corrupt, and nothing will ever change, we will become Romania 2.0 in the next few years.
