Why does MENA nations have so little respect for women?

I'm not joking, they indeed have more social rights than males. There is quotas in everything from politics to education and womens get a free pass over mens, not fair at all, it's a "positive discrimination". 30% of the parlement has to be women.

The current president pander a lot to women's vote and really tryhard on that.
