Scotland should be an independent country and Ireland should be united, Scotland could then be an associate at the Nordic council and Ireland could be an observer. The countries would become much wealthier, have a better quality of life, and be more respected internationally. Going down with the EU would also be avoided or at least made less harmful. Some decades from now when the Baltics will join the future Nordic Federation, Scotland and Ireland would obtain full membership of the council.
