I'm from NorCal, and have always heard many opinions about everything SoCal does. I was pretty excited when I first visited SoCal, to hear their opinions about us. They have none. They hate Sacramento solely because it is the home of the state government, they have some mental image of Oakland as a blacks vs cops war zone, and they know about Palo Alto and San Jose because of Silicon Valley. I lived in Monterey for a few years and I can tell you it's a pretty light rivalry at the border between socal and norcal.

The type of stuff where people have that fingerpaint on their dorm room windows that says "we say hella" or that they'll kick you out for saying hella in their room. Bit unique.

Also I've met many people who moved from socal to norcal saying it's awesome and the socal culture is an ignorant circlejerk cult in a way.
