Why do americans consume so much fizzy drink?
>>
cuz they're fat fucks that's why lmao :D
>>
because they are fat and stupid
>>
>go in grocery store
>see white redneck goobers (dude, his old lady, and their 3 year old-ish kid) with two 20 packs of soda in their cart
How the fuck can an average adult man, adult woman, and a preschool-aged child drink that much soda?
>>
>>77370749
Wow wtf? If you have McDonald's 3 times a day with extra value meals, that's average of 3 litres of Coca Cola. It's a one way ticket to diabetes, no wonder their having trouble with healthcare.
>>
>>77370794
health care is trouble because of inflated healthcare charge not because of mcdonald's
>>
>>77370765
are the cups in OP are real?
>>
>>77370765
Probably because they're lazy fucks that don't want to keep making trips to the grocery store, so they just bought the Coca Cola in bulk.
>>
>>77370765
Would you believe, there are people you talk to who say "Ewww, how can anyone drink water? Disgusting."

Guess what? Soft drinks don't hydrate you, they cause you to lose moisture and become more thirsty, also the sugar and carbonation is pretty bad for you.

America has a 40-50% obesity rate. That's contributive to the high healthcare cost. It's simple economics. Demand>>>Supply.

Whats the point of buying different size drinks if you have free refills?
>>
>>77370830
I personally don't really drink soft drinks.
But,
>what hydrates you?
Water
>what's soft drinks made of?
Water
There soft drinks hydrate you.
>>
>>77370840
Because refills aren't free.
>>
>>77370856
This is a troll, right?
>>
>>77370840
Bro you have to understand, it's difficult for a dude on a fat mobile to drive to the soft drink fountain and refill their cup. They need a bigger cup to reduce the number of trips.
>>
>>77370859
that's right, the taxpayer ends up footing the bill
>>
>>77370832
healthcare is not some rare earth material

You're willing to tell me that if the number of Hospitals far outnumber the number of patients, you'll still be paying 500 dollars for a consult. I'll screen cap it.
>>

>>
>>77370871
Actually caffeinated drinks in general cause you to lose moisture. Sugary drinks also leave a sticky coating in your mouth that makes you more thirsty.

Anyway, corn syrup is no better or worse for you than cane sugar, provided you (obviously) don't consume it to excess.

It's because evolution hasn't caught up with our modern lifestyles. Humans evolved with the idea that fat and sugar were rare, hard-to-obtain energy foods, not something you had access to constantly.

>>77371618
Can't answer that one, but I've heard from Norwegians that it really is that expensive. Such as a beer at a bar costs around $12.
>>
>>77371482
It's ridiculous because the majority of a soft drink's price is from the cup itself. The liquid costs relatively little

The point is you're being robbed. That's expensive for something as trivial as a refill, imagine for a second you are thirsty and it's a hot day out and want you want more than one cup. You gonna pay that $1.50 CAD for a refill? They are trying to take away the option for you. It's the principle of the matter and how they have you defending such a price.

>1,3 liters of fucking soda
In what fucking situation would you want to consume over a liter of any liquid? I mean a pint is an ideal amount if you're thirsty right?

A good night out can easily mean 8-9 beers. That's 0.5 liter each.

568ml actually :^)

Even better.

Fucking everything is corn syrup.
Never found anything with normal sugar.

I haven't been drinking soda for 22 years aka my entire life. And surprise, I'm not fat. And I eat a lot.
Sugar apparently helps the body store more fat, so if you eat food, having soda with it is not very smart. Cut out the devils powder.

>America has a 40-50% obesity rate.
Britain has nearly the same amount but has a NHS.

>I had no idea what they meant when they said, 'You want some pop?' It sounds so stupid.
That's because you have no culture.

Yeah nah there are people who only drink soda and they're not dead
>>
>>77372104
The US doesn't generally have the proper climate for that either.

It's not a bullet.. The diabetes and heart attack kills you later..

This is correct. It isn't so much fat as it is sugar that causes obesity. I don't drink sugary drinks that much and I'm built like a stick.

I drank mostly energy drinks and coke when I was between 15 and 19 years old
Got kidney problems and extremely high blood pressure.. Had to go on medication and monthly check ups for 8 months while living on a special diet just so my kidneys would recover..

The very worst of all are processed snack cakes like this. They're full of nasty chemicals aside from sugar. It should be illegal to even sell these.
>>
>>77370840

Take out, unless you're seriously going to drive back to get your refill.
>>
>>77371635

7-Eleven used to do 99 cent refills on all sized here but they had to stop because all their cups are molded plastic, durable and washable.

So what happened is everyone would just buy a double gulp or the massive $4 Super Big Gulp and permanently keep the cup at home. Wash it after use then every time they ever went to 7-Eleven and wanted a drink just bring it and get a $4 drink one for a dollar.

twinkies are so tasty it's stupid
They're like little syrup sponges with marshmallow fluff in them
I don't understand why they're sold in such massive quantities though, even I can keep myself from eating more than one of those things every like year
>>
>>77387257

Twinkies are disgusting. They have probably the single most synthetic, manufactured taste of any processed food on Earth.
>>
>>77387289
fuck off mate you don't think I know that
That's the whole reason I love them
the pinnacle of modern technology is making the sweetest least natural "food" product and exporting it all over the world, it's like magic

Because it's good.
