I tan extremely quickly when it comes to summer time, and my dad is swarthy enough to be mistaken for a Southern European or even an Arab (about as dark as that photo), so I don't see how true this is.

To be fair, all the Irish in my family burn like hell even in English summertime. Maybe I just have some kind of oversea genetics or something. Quite a lot of Brits are swarthy though.
