these days not much. we still have some connection to britian but we've become very americanised since the 60s. our political system is more british, we still have some british symbols, our military is more british, aside from quebec we're more ethnically british, loads of people say "mum", and the anglican church is the largest protestant church. i think i read tea is more popular in canada than in the usa. i remember when i was a kid they used to play GSTQ after o canada when the news ended at night.

up until after WWII english canadians basically considered themselves british subjects living in north america. they were extremely religious protestants and their identity was based on the empire. the orange order held a lot of influence. there were obviously differences to britain in food, clothes, lumberjacks, things like that.

as the empire and christianity declined canada was left with a cultural void filled up by the united states and multiculturalism.
