VOSOTROS

ERAIS
so latin america uses the formal 2nd person plural ustedes
what does vosotros "sound" like to them then, if it's an informal word? does it sound even LESS formal than ustedes, which isn't necessarily formal in latin america?
it's nosotros you utter pleb

it sounds old-fashioned. doesnt sound informal, maybe even classy (but if you use it be prepared for a beating)

Ustedes is used for addressing plural, informal or formal so there is no way to differentiate in American Spanish.
I guess it's like reading thou in a Shakespeare play, you understand what it means, and could replicate the conjugations but still doesn't feel right.
