One of the most famous lake monsters in Sweden is Storsjöodjuret or The great lake monster. There is several authentic videos Youtube and it's been known since the viking era, even depicted on the Frösö Runestone that was carved in the year 1050.

My family have a summer house in Troms(the county), on an island near the town Harstad. It's almost in Lofoten, so I've been to Lofoten a lot by boat. Lototen is great. Tromsǿ is nice, but not as nice as it seem on the photos. Life is comfy up there, it seems. But I would of course prefer to live down here.

Which time of year? Winter? Barely above freezing. I have seen salt water freeze here actually. Summer? 10-15 degrees. Maybe in the Oslo fjord you may have 20. It's warmer there.
