E.g. Vietnam claims the Paracel Islands and some 20ish maritime features in the Spratly group, but has not provided a map with coordinates. This is the only thing Vietnam has provided:

Also, If USA can claim EEZ around Johnston Atoll, Palmyra Atoll, Midway Atoll / Island(s), Wake Island, Howland Island and Baker Island, which cannot be classified as real islands (no island = no EEZ) according to UNCLOS, then I don’t see why China should back down. Double standards.
