Greetings
I'm going on a student exchange to Beijing from September to December of this year, what should I expect regarding the natives, the food, the nightlife, the cops, the public transportation?
I there anything anyone would recommend doing? Like, sights, clubs, bars, places?
Thanks

Beijing is a dirty polluted shithole full of smog, especially in winter. Roads are full of dirt and dust. Traffic congestion is series.

Beijing? Its just an administrative capital.
I've been there for various reasons over the past several years. It's not nearly as polluted or congested as other places.

Culture shock I suppose. The people ought to seem very rude and poorly mannered until you get used to their way of life. Then they're just pretty down to earth people. Quite friendly by regional standards. You'll probably get scammed a lot.
Go with an open mind, or it will be pretty miserable for you.
Try the duck.
