no we're closer to ekavian. the thing with млякo is due to the yat reform when we got commied to make our language more similar to r*ssian. before that it was written млѣкo and ѣ would be pronounced as either e in the western dialects or я in the eastern dialects but since they made that retarded reform some words would switch between я and e in random forms of the root word. for example млякo > млeчни, бял > бeли and countless other examples. it's gay desu
