En realidad no generalizaria, es una peninsula muy diversa, evidentemente mas cerca de los Pirineos es mas verde pero toda la cornista cantabrica, Galicia y buena parte del norte de Castilla son igual que pais vasco. En españa en terminos de precipitacion hay dos zonas semideserticas, una en aragon, en la zona de los monegros, y la otra en la costa sureste.

Depsues hay dos zonas de precipitaciones relativamente bajas, que son las mesetas (castilla) pero que antaño eran bosques, la desertizacion vino a partir de la agricultura, cuando en inmensas zonas dejo de haber sombra y la retencion de humedad paso a ser nula, eso quiere decir que en las zonas de cultivo, al tener un suelo descubierto es muy dado a la erosion y rapida evaporizacion, ya que combina muy malamente con las escasas precipitaciones a partir de promavera o verano(depende las zonas) y sobretodo ala inmensa radiacion solar que recibe el suelo dirante todo este suelo.

En resumen, solo hay dos zonas pequeñas zonas oficialmente semideserticas en españa, el resto de zonas deserticas es porque se han desertizado debido a la agricultura.
