the ironic part is almost all of "proud Texas" history are battles fought by good ole Southern boys from Tennessee, Alabama, West Virginia etc etc. (mostly Tennessee, which is why they are the volunteer state)

Tennessee is a huge part of American history and cultural development and it gets completely overlooked.
