yes, I dont agree with everything america has done but I think its certainly a net positive.

Can't help but feel that 3+ party system would be even worse. Imagine a president elected with 20% of the popular vote and not a snowball's chance in hell of a congressional majority. It would be a complete disaster, or the various factions would just form coalitions, putting us right back where we are right now The right and left wings of the Democratic Party are so different that they might as well be different parties. Same goes for the Republican Party. They just agree to cooperate once every 4 years.
