A /biz/ scam made the news about 3 weeks ago. Someone claimed that the founder of ETH had died, and that "insiders" were already selling as fast as possible.
I think ETH lost 50% of its value because of it.

I discovered 4ch rather late, I actually peaked in 2002 (college degree, gf, so-called "elite" school, pro journalist reporter), and then it went downhill.

also 2bh sometimes I feel I owe my life to 4ch, because before it, when I wasn't seeing any solution or escape, I would get urges to jump out the window. When eating was over, fapping was over, day chores were over, smoking was done, I felt such amounts of crushing solitude, it was almost unbearable.

Now, any time of day or night, I know I have a world of fellow losers at hand. I especially have a taste for the HHKV of /r9k/ (hugless, handholdless, kissless virgin), always a self-esteem boost.

It made me accept a loser identity because it felt like it meant something.
It cascaded into me not going to collage for 2 years while drowning my sadness by overworking on a (admittedly very well paid) stressful job.
In the end I'm happy it happened because it made me much more confident than I would have been otherwise once I overcame it.
Better to be a loser for a while than for a life.
