I befriended an American while studying abroad, and while he didn't smell of shit, the whole "shart" thing isn't a meme. He would tell, shamelessly, of the times he shat himself, and even once while we were out on town, he informed he that he had farted, but was afraid he had also sharted. He had to go into an alley to check, and could inform me when he got back that he had indeed sharted himself.

I thought it was a meme until then, but apparently it's not.

The smell terrible is unironically a real stereotype that my country men have about Americunts, but that's because the tourist that come here don't bother in showering themselves (take in count that it's always hot in here so you need to shower at least two times per day). I don't know if they're this disgusting in their own country, tho
