But financial stuff? Not really. They have a maths department (I got my B.Sc. there) so you can undoubtedly join that. But for financial mathematics, UvA is your best bet.

But some universities are more specialised than others.
But it does not affect careers here because all universities should be on the same page.

Leiden is known for law.
Delft for tech and chemistry if I believe.
Eindhoven for technology and IT.
The biggest universities are in Utrecht.

The only true prestige university is business university Nyerode. If you get a phd there you will be considered for ready for a staff and direction job at the Dutch multinationals..

Go for ETH I'd say. It's by far better than any Dutch university for financial mathematics. From what I know.
