The only Asian (as in yellow) Language is Japanese. Everything else is just a mishmash of monosyllables involving tones, vowels and "ng"s everywhere.
Portuguese is based on Latin and is part of the Indo-European group. It even shares over 70% of its vocabulary's roots with English, which is not a very near linguistic neighbor.
