Guy in town makes it, old fella but most people here in the countryside makes their own.

Generally a normal amount is a 5 liter plastic jug and cost around 350 Kronor - 37 dollars.

Actually really good. The stuff I buy is in the same class as Absolute Vodka etc if not better.
It's always around 50-65% alcohol (110-135 proof).

It's very illegal to make and sell, buying is also illegal but mostly gives you a warning.
Socially accepted? Yes here in the north it's pretty much the national drink haha.
