Is that a ramp
>1 shitty russian carrier
>A FUCKING RAMP
if the US actually wanted to escalate, that thing would get sunk in a matter of hours.
>>76684533
>''''''''''aircraft carrier''''''''''
>>76684604
I you wait a bit longer and do nothing it will probably explode or sink by itself
*cum into your hull*
>>76684533
>this thai shitposter again
*sinks*
>>76685252
>>76684898
woosh woosh woosh you dead
>>76684533
I want to skate on it
>>76684533
is that Thailand carrier?
>>76684898
Lewd
>>76684604

>>76684604
*Creams your aircraft carrier*
>>76684533
How does it block my fucking way? I can just pass by, don't fuck with me.
>>76684533
*buys your warships*
What now Zhang?
aircraft carriers are so worthless. they'd all be sunk within 48 hours of a real war and the only reason they're still around is because everyone knows a real war won't happen.
*throws exocet*
>>76684533
A rather large vessel with an inclined hull perhaps?
>>76687177
>exocet
bleh
>>76684604
ramps are NOT for bullying.
AHAHA
we look forward to new sunken US carrier tourist attraction off our coasts !!!
>>76684898
where are the side fins for extra pleasure?
>>76687177
>exocet
Its not 1981 m8, everyone know France will give you shut down codes for exocets if you threaten to nuke Buenos Aires
>>76687364
u r correct
it's no longer 81
there a mod chips for exocet guidance systems.
>>76684533
In all honesty if you have a conventional carrier group within your immediate national periphery it can be a great platform for force multipliers. However this limits the carriers use to purely defensive support roles. But thats probably what it was commissioned for anyway.
>>76687659
They carry more planes than most 3rd world air force and its escort carry tons of tomahawks, that is enough to spook them and bend them over.
Most countries in the world is not gonna send their entire force of 5 MiG-21 on suicide charge against a hundred F-35.
>>76687824
and yet one modern modified exocet missile will sink that floating airfield to bottom of sea
what shitty naval strategty is that?
>>76687909
you underestimate the ability a carrier group has to shoot down incoming projectiles
>>76687244
that is so satisfying to watch
>>76687364
Funny since it's MBDA is helping our navy to develop new anti-ship missiles.
>>76684533
>>76687279
>>76685873
>ramp posting
>>76686242
This can't be real.
>>76684607
You retarded?
The thing has been carrying aircraft for five years now.
>>76684533
HAHAHA A FUCKING RA....
oh wait
>>76687306
*runs aground
>>76689306
Money nigga.
Carriers are useless on total war.
>>76686242
China: The Ultimate Jew
>>76690326
countries with carriers don't go to war with each other.
>>76690475
Who knows, the thing is anyone with access to anti-ship missiles can take them down.
>>76690819
Anti-ship missiles aren't magic and don't guarantee victory. A carrier has a group of support ships that can shoot down missiles and the carrier itself won't be put into a position where anti-ship missiles can hit it.
>>76690819
When was the last time this happened? I don't think an aircraft carrier has been sunk in anger for decades, let alone using anti-ship missiles. There's a reason all the big naval powers in the world as well as regional powers continue to operate aircraft carriers and continue to put money into them.
>>76687279
This is my favourite ramp currently, and people shouldn't bully.
>>76690950
Sure, but you would still have to deploy several of your armada to protect one big sitting duck.
>>76690971
Because all the fights involving carriers were against durkas in a desert? And i'm excluding japan since these missiles didn't exist back then.
>>76691115
>one big sitting duck.
You're underestimating how hard it is to first track down the carrier, and then be able to hit it sufficiently enough to sink it.
>>76691115
The support ships were always designated carrier support ship, you wouldn't lose anything because if you didn't have the carrier you wouldn't build the extra ships either.
>>76691171
Well, i'm guessing when you see some dots crampled together on the radar you might guess what is it.

If we buy 18 of their warships maybe they will leave us alone, stop poking us with missile cruisers and that huge ship 70km from our shores will go home.
Maybe.
>>76691241
Radar installations would be the first things to go, everyone will be relying on passive detection systems.
>>76691658
Also similar methods worked the first time with Mao Zedong. Establishing relations and picking them over Taiwan in the late 60's made them stop supplying commie terrorists.
What could possibly go wrong?
Except for the poor sailors who will be shoved into the chink boat of course.
>>76691658
>>76691874
Hands tied i see.
>>76692373
Well its not exactly cutting edge ones, just a rather big boat to replace our 40+year old rust buckets, deter pirates, supply patrol boats and deck large enough to launch UAVs.
For deterrent purpose a series of stealth frigates will be doing the heavy work.
>>76691094
Type 26 frigates will be replacing those older Type 23s in the next 10 years, and about time tbqh.
