The UN peacekeepers have literally no authority to do anything or intervene in any way AT ALL, unless they themselves are being threatened. They're completely and utterly useless, it's literally just for show so people in governments and at the UN can pat themselves on the back and pretend they made a difference. Furthermore, they're specifically deployed in the shittiest and most damned places in Africa, so if their objective was to see improvement in Africa, that would be simply counterproductive. It'd be like going to some dindu ghetto in some shithole small town in Mississippi with the stated objective of seeing American wealth and innovation. If you want to see Africa improve, then go to a place where there's actual improvement, not the fucking CAR or South Sudan.
