Uuhuuu, bully
Red beans, white beans and lenses are relatively new in our cooking. I haven't done much with those except some attempts with chili con carne.
>tfw my countrymen (and family) fell for the French meme that soups should be liquid
I feel like I'm the only one who appreciates a good thick stew full of beans and meat and potatoes and carrots and cabbage.
Sometimes I'll even make a soup when my mother visits, and I'll make a point of putting it through the blender just because she thinks pureed soups are so much classier than chunky soups, and she'll ask for hot water to pour in it to thin it out even more

Fuck, I don't know. I never look at what other people are eating. I'm mostly a soup and stew person, but I know there's plenty of people who live mostly off sandwiches and tacos.

>>76693296
it's a special soup that is made with a piece of (already cooked) meat so that it gains a bit of its flavor. After the soup is done, the meat is removed, sliced and added to the plate you serve the soup
The meat in question is chouriça which is pork (not sure which part) seasoned in wine+garlic, then dried, and finaly stuffed into a sausage-like recipient (originaly animal intestines) wihch is then cooked/smoked to preserve it.
it's a hearty soup and fills like a meal only by itself, easely the best soup we have, but don't expect it to be good if you go to a restorant, they often make the soup en masse and cut on the cabbage so the end result is much weaker
>>76696037
>is chouriça which is pork (not sure which part)
It's all the parts of the pork that you wouldn't serve as a steak, basically. And not in a hot-dog trying to disguise it way. It came to be so that you could use up every part of the animal once you butchered it.
>>76696037
Sopa da Pedra is also based.
>>76696037
>sausage-like recipient (originaly animal intestines)
wait a second- you don´t use animal intestines anymore? i mean we have some cheap sausages with fake intestines as well but they suck and you have to remove them before cooking
now i am curious what do you guys use?
>>76674857
the only important one is pic related
>>76696682
No, we use the intestines only for the skin (the condom-looking thing). I think some chouriços and the like use a synthetic skin nowadays, but since the interior has larger chunks of meat/fat/filling than yours (and being meatier/spicier as opposed to wet-cured), you don't notice the difference.
