how much is rent for a room a month? average neighborhood nothing fancy either but no negraos around.
my (bias) opinion is Perth
best weather in the country, great beaches, best coffee in the country, the entire state only contains 2 million people and most people are very friendly
I have a lot of upper class paulistas friends because I'm in the medical field and they swear that SP is hell on earth and that's impossible to go out at night without getting murdered.
parts of pacific coast (california, oregon, washington), parts of south (texas), and parts of north east (vermont, new hampshire, maine)

What is the best city in SP?

If you want to live near the beach, Ubatuba and Ilhabela are good options. But my favorite city is Vinhedo. It's between São Paulo and Campinas and have one of the best life quality of the country. There's many comfy cities in the West region, but there's nothing to do there. Taubaté and São José dos Campos are pretty good too, they are near Ubatuba, Ilhabela and Campos do Jordão (the coldest city of the state).

São José dos Campos :^)
