Also I've never been to poland but all the polish girls I've met abroad were very ambitious and charming.

I feel like Poland is funnier than other countries countries because of how much shit they've been given over the years. They know their own weaknesses and so they are never taken off guard when it comes to banter. It makes them seem witty.

Well, you could read Stanislaw Lem and Andrzej Sapkowski in the original; the former is my favourite sci-fi writer, way ahead of Bradbury. Though I've already them in Russian and given the proximity of the languages, the translation is more-or-less true to the source material. But it'd be more relevant for non-Slavic speakers.
