America is probably the best country on the planet to live in currently if you have money or a desire to make money. There truly is more opportunity here than anywhere else in the world - and that is largely due to the fact that American culture and society values capitalism more than morality. The entire country is structured in a way where the burden of responsibility is with the citizen more than it is with the government. This is reflected in pretty much everything ranging from consumer protection to worker laws.

If you have no interest in actually making something of yourself or you are born into a naturally disadvantaged life (black person being born into a poor crime ridden family or something similar) then it's going to be a shit place to live because the system is setup to take advantage of or exploit stupid people. It really is.

If you have a modicum of self-awareness and intelligence, then you can't beat the opportunities the United States can offer.

Hot and humid, at least round these parts anyway. Thing is the US is a large nation with many different geographical regions and subcultures so it's kind of difficult to find words that desribe the entire country. You may as well as an Italian what life in the Netherlands is like.

What's it like? Well I live in Kentucky, the birth place of KFC, however it is not the redneck cesspool that you may expect. The majority of people drive newer cars, use proper english (not the queens english), and everyone is super nice. That's my experience anyways. I'm in the middle of nowhere too so it's not like in the city where that kind of behavior is expected. The only downside is slow internet. My average ping is 400kb/s.

It really isn't bad, especially if you live in the mountain west lots of outdoors things to do along with mostly white culture. we have minorities but they fall in line. No ghettos, I don't count the reservations those are like going to Mars, technically not the USA anyway.
If you like guns and what not it is fantastic plenty of places to shoot and very little regulation on your right to own arms, also constitutional carry in my state.
The bad side, I am not sure on the whole, I am not very happy I smoke weed to cope and blank it out on the regular. I don't think this is an American thing as much as a generational issue due to what America has become and what many of us know it was and ought to be. Most of us know how much we were fucked over by previous generations, looking at you boomers, who spent our wealth before we could even earn it. The idea of a house and children is out of most of our price ranges unless you want to drown in debt. This alone is a huge reason for out apathy towards it all.
