Not yet, but starting this Friday probably yes.

Merkel threw her own party under the bus to get rid off gay marriage as a unfavorable campaign topic during the coming election.

She played into the hands of the socdems(her coalition partner) and the rest of the left which will now force a vote that is likely to pass on Friday.

If I was a conservative I would be furious right now.
