Well it had a decent enough base by Paradox standards, but instead of creating some proper expansions they've been focusing on "focus packs" with features for a small number of specific nations.
Game also has the problem of not being very fun in MP as things can become fairly unbalanced easily, unless people stick to their historical faction.
>>
>>76594427
There's nothing in Limerick though. It's just the city, those 2 small towns and then nothing. Clare is better than Limerick any day even.

Sounds like what WW2 fans would want as opposed to pulling in irrelevant nations. I might pick it up anyway since it is only €20.

Most people want features that can be used by all nations.
Just looks at the new EU4 DLC. €10 for an expansion which only gives features to Russia.

THe boom was such a horrible time to be growing up. Everything was so vein and there was just this constant uncomfortable atmosphere.
One of the weirdest things I remember of it was the amount of crime and car chases they went through my area. It was always something we'd see while out playing.
Always mental shit going on and people buying crazy things.

I'd say just look at CK2/EU4/Stellaris/HoI4 and see which interests you the most and just focus on learning that.

If you had to put it into words, how would you describe that atmosphere?
>>
>>76594937
Uhm, into a word or phrase it better? I think the best words to describe how it felt and still feels when looking back on it could melancholic with this subtle feeling of something really bad impending. It was a lonely time and looking back it seemed to be all dissociation.
Don't know how to explain it sorry.
>>
>>76594937
How would you describe it?
>>
>>76595429
I can't. I grew up in a rural area and never really experienced it. But I've heard other people mention what that anon speaks of.
>>
>>76595733
I grew up in a housing estate until 2000 then moved to a village in 2001 so i experienced a bit of both.
But even the village was booming at the time.
>>
I enjoyed growing up during the boom desu. There was a great sense of happiness from the wealth everyone had and an appreciation that I was living in an age of prosperity never experienced before. I'm probably paying for it now in that I grew up without an appreciation for money and with nothing to strive for but back then it was great.

I have a friend who once claimed he loved anime. Over the years, he consistently found the anime shows superior to what he found on television. He started to find more and more anime, and in doing so, he told me that he discovered something. He liked all of the anime he'd seen at first because these were the shows that were successful and well made, the ones with the quality or broad appeal to the jump across cultures. He found that he didn't like anime he only liked good anime. Sure, the medium had something important to do with it, but his enjoyment came more from the quality of his sample than the entire medium.

Apparently such a law could be unconstitutional. Article 44 forbids the state from "endowing, disabling, or discriminating a religion". If all Religions aren't being treated equally by the state, then here are grounds for a Supreme Court challenge.

I still strongly disagree. At least you change your clothes regularly. It's better to shower more and change your clothes less even.

I hope you brush your teeth regularly too. People's lack of basic personal hygiene really freaks me out.

You don't accumulate a noticeable amount of dirt by doing nothing. As I said if you move around a lot or sweat profusely then you'd be dirty in no time but living in a cold country while not doing much won't make you nearly as filthy as you want to believe.
>>
>>76614826
Pretty much, changing clothes, especially underwear, makes a far bigger difference than washing. I'd say someone that showered three times a day but wore the same clothes for a week smells worse than someone who didn't shower all week but changed clothes every day.

Entrapment from Joan. She was seen smiling and tweeting from the car. It's fairly clear she was intent on playing the victim here and kneecapping a key voice of dissent.
As an establishment politician she wanted those protesters and alternative politicians to remember their place. Most concerning is the fact that the Gardai without exception spoke against them as evidence, claiming things the video evidence proved to be false.

It was clearly more than "a little protest". They surrounded a car with a person in it, and were banging on the car and such. It's telling that the Gardaí had to be called in large numbers to extract Burton. If it was just "a little protest", why did the Gardaí had to intervene?

Not showing contempt towards voters who felt betrayed by their presence in the last government would have been good, or attempting to use the incident for political gain.

>Or maybe she expected them to protest reasonably?
Nobody was hurt or threatened. People need to cop on a little and look at how protests in other countries go down during a deep recession before declaring something as innocuous as surrounding a car as some sort of act of barbarism.
I'm not justifying heavy handed protests but traditionally in Irish politics when incidents like that happen they don't take the taxpayers to court. Like Mary Harney being covered with red paint or Bertie getting a pie thrown in his face.

>>76616996
It was but it was a symptom of the anger with our government at the time, particularly in working class communities towards the labour party. A court case was disproportional response however.

Yes, and he was swearing and acting like a knacker in a professional setting. Don't act like context isn't important. If nobody else is swearing in a workplace, you should have enough cop-on to censor yourself for the sake of maintaining a comfortable work environment. As I said, I personally have no problem with swearing, but I know others who do.

>Whole weekend. At least I get half price tickets cause I'm doing a panel
Thats cool. I wasn't able to get any free tickets this year, they seem pretty strapped for cash.

Yes, it'd be inhumane not to. Virtually all allow pants now as well though.

I applied for a panel back in April on day in class for no reason other than I was board. I didn't think I'd get it. Im not saying much about it cause dox, even though if you were a determined lurk, you could easily narrow it down to like 40 people who are presenting or working on panels
