They were already independent at the time (1983, independent in 1974), and Theresa May publicly supported the invasion. The native Grenadians also seemed to support the invasion.

Canada is nominally independent as well and both are in the British Commonwealth. It's basically the same situation unless you want to make the argument that Canada is somehow significantly more relevant than Grenada.

It depends how you look at it I suppose. It could plausibly be argued that Castro's son up there is a dictator and that real Canadian people need liberation.
