We could spend the money on housing them, but then our welfare departments would have to lay off their staff.

Essentially we spend shit loads of money on homeless people, but our government services are about 5-10% efficient (90% of the money gets skimmed off).

You ever read Bertrand Russell's "The Superior Virtue of the Oppressed?" He mocks the idea that being poor and downtrodden blah blah blah somehow makes you morally superior when it's usually not at all true, the lower class of society are usually degenerate as fuck because day-to-day survival is more important than kindness and fairness to others. Of course, the rich are also degenerate because they have the resources to indulge in any vice they want.
