Not really an autist, but this guy has a channel about languages and says some very interesting things.

I nicked it from /r/languagelearning.
>>

I sort of doubt the time to learn versus hours spent per day is completely linear. I would imagine there is some peak efficiency time, where going above yields diminished returns. It's likely semi individual where that point is, but interesting never the less.

So anons, what have you done today for your language studies?Just 15 minutes of review here, studying topics other than Swedish this week.

I have a half hour commute each way to work, so this would be perfect for me. I just wonder if my focus would not be as much on the spanish since I'm driving, probably not as good as doing it still but better than not. Maybe I'd do it the first time at home, then second in the car.

Going beyond the 2h mark time makes your concentration to drop drastically.
However, if you keep taking regular breaks between your long study sessions you should be fine.

Also, don't forget to eat properly, rest and exercise

I have a question regarding Norwegian. I've heard the phrase "Vi snakkes" several times and it means something along the lines of "We'll speak again", but in what tense is it? It's definitely not present since then it would be "Vi snakker", or could it just be an abbreviation for something?

Help me out norwayanons.

Not sure how to explain properly, but it's used in only a few verbs, with the meaning that people do something to each other. The only other examples like this I can think of is "sees", "treffes" and "motes".

S-endings are also used in passive, and some other cases. They're called "s-verbs" if you want to search for more info.
>>
>>76432529
Not a serious answer, but according to the things I read about Esperanto and different studies and estimates, I pulled a figure out of my ass that at least 1 in 50 000 people speaks it. More in Europe and in bigger cities.
>>
German. Maybe it's because my favorite football team is German. Certainly, I've been doing Duolingo and sometimes filling in the gaps trying to read my favorite team's Facebook posts.

There's also a site called Spielverlagerung.com, articles are almost all in German, I sometimes try to do the best I can with them.
>>
>>76430992
He mentioned he has a speech disorder and you can still sort of hear it sometimes. Maybe he has down syndrome or something.

A great channel though, Xidnaf and NativLang are also great linguistics channels but they're a bit more theoretical (e.g. talking about reconstructing proto-languages).
>>
>>76433570
Get a Korean qt to quicken the process senpai.

When does learning a language start getting fun? I've been taking Spanish in college for the last year and I'm still just very 'meh' about it. At what point do you really start to enjoy it?

he definitely does not have down syndrome
>>
Guys, how do I leave duolingo clubs?
I joined "Greeks learning German" and can't leave now.

Wasn't it mentioned somewhere that it's because of all the languages he speaks, his accent became a bit ambiguous?

He's completely normal, doesn't seem like there's anything wrong with him. Some people are just a bit quirkier.
>>
>>76441490
He himself replied to a comment on one of his videos that he has a speech disorder, but I don't know what disorder it is exactly.

The fun is not going to come unless you develop some fascination about the language, the Spanish or Latino culture, music, movies, politics, the plebs in those countries, something.
I studied German for five years in high-school and learned nothing, because I was not interested in it. The teacher was some dumb cunt, I knew almost nothing about Germany, the language itself didn't sound too interesting to me. So I ended up with an A1 level at most. Now years after that I'm learning it and making progress, because I found a new appreciation for the language. It grew on me. Now it's fun.
>>
>>76441608
>also, who else /esperanto/ here?
I started with it recently. I bought several textbooks and two dictionaries.
>>
>>76441248
Fun of it not necessarily comes from the learning, at least for me, but rather what you do during/after learning it.Connecting with people, consuming their media..
>>
>>76441248
this >>76441915
I did spanish for years in school and had no interest in it so it was boring and i made extremely slow progress.
Now i'm studying a language that's considered much more difficult but i'm obsessed with it and I love studying it so i'm progressing well.

He is a teacher and he speaks 50+ languages, though majority of them at a1-a2 level not fluently of course.((LEVEL-UP)) is what he calls it when he goes out to practice languages he is learning, thus the name leveling up.Just skip the intros he has on some of his ((LEVEL-UP)) videos as they are like 3 minutes long lmao.

>but you can learn it for free on lernu dot com (not an ad)
I know, I have that and the duolingo course in my bookmarks.
The textbooks (three) and the dictionaries (one for Bulgarian-Esperanto and one for Esperanto-Bulgarian) I got for like 10 Euros. They're all old editions so they're super cheap. Two of the textbooks are from the 50s and 60s so they've got some retarded communist propaganda in the exercises, but that's ok. I find it easier to read those stuff explained in them than by reading it on some site in English.
>>
>>76442586
okay then, it's nice to have something material and not only digital
there is a nice site for learning esperanto in Russian, but idk if passive understanding of Russian is enough
>>
>>76442759
My English is good enough for the more advanced things to come.
How well do you speak Esperanto anyway? I hope to get to a decent level by the end of the year. It seems it's all about expanding the vocabulary after the initial month or two.
>>
>>76442885
i took a break, so maybe I'm borderline A1-A2 again. it's about vocabulary for me as well, i know most grammar rules by now
>>
>>76441366
I didn't even know about Duolingo Clubs
>>
>>76441490
>>76441550
It could be a bit of both, he does seem a bit more quirkier than average to me.
Not that it's a bad thing or anything.
>>

>>
>>76442518

Somehow I doubt this.
>>
>>76445100
Meh, speaking a bunch of languages at A1 level is not that impressive.
>>
>>76446037
why say you speak a language at all if you can't even reach B level

that's... so pleb

>>
>>76445100
Well you can watch the videos, he literally speaks them, though not perfectly obviously.
>>
tiene el idioma español muchos acentos?
>>
>>76448149
Only one and it's just used to tell you to stress or put emphasis in a specific sylabe/vowel. It simply tells you to put more "strength" where you see it.

>camión
In this case the word has two sylabes ca-mión but the last one is a diptongue so you have the accent on the letter "o" to indicate you that the strength/stress goes on the sound "o" and not on the "i"

>esdrújula
you'll mostly find it at the end of the words, there are very few words that have an accent in the last 3rd sylabe, the example I wrote is one of the few.
>>
>>76450198
gracias.

can anyone explain to me the proper use/distinction between

alli and ahi

and

aqui and aca

to me?

are they just synonyms or there is actually some, even a subtle, difference
