Nowadays I don't know, but back then yes as there was a actual war going on.

My mother loves it and feels at home. My father considers the country great and always tells me how lucky I am to live here, but often says dutch people are socially unapproachable and he prefers anglos.

My sis is married and lives in UAE now. But hypothetically? Maybe. Not sure. She never wore a hijab in her life.
