to be honest for free-trade to work, you do need a lot of things to be harmonised legally..

that is why free-trade deals take forever to hammer out.

the UK is at an advantage that all those harmonisations are already in place and a free-trade agreement is essentially the baseline condition (for the david davis to fuck it up from)

>customs union saying we can't trade with anyone else

it's not that you can't trade with anyone else it's that you have to abide by a common external tariff. To bring in customs checks for industries that enjoy not having them (film production, automotive industry, manufacturing) where parts are constantly sent between the UK and continent would impose huge costs of production increases, not to mention inefficiency and factor in the time it costs to train people for these new systems. This doesn't even begin to deal with the logistical headache of exporting UK-grown produce to the continent through the port in Calais which is over capacity as is, even after the huge amounts of investment the French government has given it. To then add more customs checks for UK food would be a nightmare, the port just isn't equipped for it

Yeah, I was of the same mindless opinion as them until I actually learned how gruesome abortion is.

Killing an unborn child is the most sickening thing you can do really. Unborn babies are the weakest of the weak, they can't scream, they can't run, they don't get medical help and the one person in the world that is meant to care for them, kills them.

It's very telling when most pro-abortion advocates go to great lengths to claim "they're just cells, they're not real humans", justifications similar to many violent dictators. It's still human life and I think deep down, beyond the bullshit, they know it's wrong too.
>>
>>76391682
literally both fails
>>
dont care about benders getting married. love is love. the institution of marriage is already being killed by nonchalant attitudes to divorce and such so fuck it, letting men marry each other wont change anything.

abortion is a different kettle of fish though. reckon the the 24 week thing is way too high. needs dropping to like 10 weeks. plus it should be a last resort. there should be multiple discussions with the mother about the consequences of abortion and the reasons why shes doing it (also involving the father of course - if he's still about). plus sex education and contraception should be made much more available to everyone. it seems like abortion is used as a contraception these days which is silly.
