Governments are corrupt, inefficient and populated with morally bankrupt human monsters that take the worst from socialist "ethics" and capitalist greed without any responsibility or accountability.

Civil service is populated by unfriendly, lazy and corrupt clerks that won't even do their jobs without receiving an extra bribe and take sadistic pleasure in bullying regular people, compounded by their frustration at being unable to bully anyone above their pecking order.
Family life is virtually nonexistent. Men are alcoholics, beat their women and children and spend most of their free time in shitty pubs or wasting away their money in gambling dens.

Children are undisciplined, lazy, dumb and prone to petty crime and substance abuse (usually paint thinner). It's a miracle any manage to reach adulthood.
Environment is state of utter desolation. Major industries leverage their high number of employees (i.e. voters) to win exemptions from any environmental regulation leading to air, water and ground being riddled with toxic compounds. Taking a skinny dip is like asking for skin cancer, assuming you don't drown in the oily water. Breathing is a visible effort - literally so since you can actually see what you're breathing. Smoking can actually improve quality of air you take in.
