Depends on the region/speaker. Some I'm ambivalent to, some are grating. Feel the same about Aussies and Kiwis. Being soft spoken helps a lot.

I've seen so many movies and tv shows with the accent that it doesn't even register as different anymore
If an aussie is on an american show trying to do an american accent I can pick him immediately though
the difference is americans in real life, the accent is no different to some moron not knowing what an inside voice is
