i like etymology for three reasons:
explains why we say 'uncouth' but not 'couth' on its own
ancient borrowings and reborrowings like 'orange' or 'egypt'
strange occurences in linguistic evolution such as with 'serendipity' and 'quark' to a lesser extent

here for sunday we say Domingo, from latin Dominicus (day of the lord)
but if we have kept the pagan name from romans, we would say "Soles" (literally means "Suns" in spanish)
also Sábado comes from "Sabbath" (day of rest)

Is there a latin country which doesnt use the hebrew word for saturday but uses Saturns day?

The etimology of my name "Antonio", comes from latin "Antonius" wich means "brave/valiant one"
its the most common name in Spain, next to Maria, so its just a normie name in reality

May I bring to your attention that every translation regarding Saturn (who the Pagan’s worshiped and coined Saturn’s day as Saturday) still has the prefix “S-A-T” while almost every translation that relates to the 7th day we call “Saturday” starts with the same prefix of “S-A-B” which undeniably refers to the Sabbath; note the same prefix “S-A-B”. Tiistai - Tuesday (same here)
Keskiviikko - Wednesday (means middleweek)
Torstai - Thursday (more swedish)
Perjantai - Friday (this too)
Lauantai - Saturday (and this)
Sunnuntai - Sunday (and this)

Wednesday is our only OC weekday

One of the weirdest etymologies I have ever encounter was the Greek word "Σkορπίζω". That word means "I scatter"
Σkορπιός means scorpion (which is the origin of the English word)
There was also a war machine named "Σkορπιός" because it looked/operated like a scorpion and it scattered rocks or something.
"Σkορπίζω" means something "scorpionize".

if it hit a person without armor, the strength was so much that it could easily penetrate the person behind him aswell
