Repeat each lesson again and again, and repeat the old ones a lot. Use Memrise to learn some vocabulary. I am learning Portuguese so after doing lessons and studying vocabulary, I lurk /luso/ to try and decipher posts and then I read Portuguese and Brazilian news websites.

You just need to keep drilling the knowledge in your head, do not give it a chance to slip. Browse threads of the language you are trying to learn, go to websites in that language, read famous books like the Bible in that language, etc.

If you are willing to spend money, invest in something like Pimsleur.
