The only reason the Red Army was as good as it was from 43 onwards was because they learned from the Germans. If they had not had that trial by fire, they probably would be shitting around the battlefield doing dumbass zerg rushes as opposed to the mobile flanking, deep operation stuff Zhukov had them do. THey also would not have developed the tanks they did, nor in the numbers they did. Lack of lend-lease (>inb4 it was insignificant numbers) would have been detrimental too.

Hitler would have used Stalin as cannon-fodder and STalin would try it on Hitler. THey'd just muck about and ruin each other. Both were shit-tier military commanders who only did as well as they did when the actual military was given command.

But sure, they'd slap eastern europe to bits and maybe take the middle-east/Egypt without too much trouble.

It wasn't useless. If Germany would have to fight USSR, Japan would be drawing some of the soviet forces to the east. As well as if the war would be against England - germans pushing in the Europe and Africa, japanese are taking over Asian colonies.
The thing is that they got each other fucked - Germany didn't helped Japan during the conflicts in Mongolia and on the soviet borders, Japan decided to fight America instead of invading USSR.
