Just accidentally posted this on /bant/ and not /int/. Let me give it a second try.
I'm a half Afghan (halfghan, if you will) and the experience I'm looking for is as close as I can get to Afghan culture without all the war and shit. I'm a Tajik Afghan by the way.
I could go with:
-Safer areas of Afghanistan, even then it's not very safe
-Tajikistan, however there's lots of Soviet influence (majority of population speaks Russian as a second language) and you don't get the "red carpet" treatment AKA they don't treat foreigners like a god as they do in Afghanistan/Iran
-Iran, this is the one I'm least knowledgeable about so I'd like some info as to how similar their culture is to Afghanistans
Also I'm not at all invested in the culture, I look the part but I can only count to twenty and say body parts. This will be a learning experience for me so it has to be exact.
Iran is more interesting but you're an American citizen so Blomf's administration might fuck you over some way. Tajikistan and Afghanistan are dangerous.

Tajikistan isn't dangerous
