Tell me about the relationship between USA and Canada? How do they perceive each others? Is Canada a puppet state of USA or is it just a friendly neigbour? Or is it not so friendly a neighbour? Tell me more.
Canada's like an alternate-history America; it's probably what America would look like today had our revolution failed and we remained in the British Empire.
Being so close together a lot of our culture and history is shared.

Friendly neighbours relative to the rest of the planet. We're always scrapping over shit but because it's usually mundane shit the world never hears about it, wouldn't call us a puppet state considering we've joined less of their wars than Australia.

bretty much this. I don't see canada as being a puppet state. however we're very tied together. there a lot of good musicians from canada that I listen to and lot of folk from there end up in the US. and I never really see them as being any different than an american. i wonder if it's the other way around too? they're way better at hockey.

They bitch or give us an inoffensive pop musician, and we roll our eyes and immediately forget they exist until they bitch about something again.
