As far as the industry in India is concerned - it's a joke. 90% of the students suck at programming and the retarded system doesn't give much importance to practical skills either. These kind of people are hired by run-of-the-mill IT companies, where they are given training, and then they spend their whole life working on the mundane outsourced parts of software. Terrible model, but the silver lining is that it gives employment to many, and at least imparts some basic skills into otherwise useless graduates. I know people who started out in TCS/infy/ etc and got jobs in proper companies like Morgan Stanley after a couple years.

Okay, here's the thing. I did a lot of research but I did that for engineering. Still, some of it should be relevant to you.
Look into: SATs, TOEFL and IELTS
SATs are exams on english and maths for people who want to go to US colleges. If you score well enough, you can even get heavy scholarships. Prepare for these if you've made up your mind about going to US

TOEFL/IELTS are english proficiency tests that are required for going to an english speaking country. TOEFL is for US, IELTS for Canada, UK, Aus, NZ

These are the countries you should be looking at: Ireland, Aus, NZ, Singapore and Canada. Germany had this scheme about sponsoring education for Indian students, you might want to look into that.

Japan gives full scholarship with stipend + free Japanese lessons if you pass their entrance test. I think it's only for engineers though, look into it.

You might also want to do your graduation in Nepal/India and then decide to do your post graduation outside.

There are a lot of policies that offer students a full ride in foreign countries, look into that.

Avoid UK at all costs.

Fairly active. Going abroad is easy as fuck, there are colleges out there that are dying to get some Asian students to fill their seats. The thing you need to look for are:

Point being, going to a foreign country is not some do or die shit. The only obstacle is money, ignorance and effort required.

One more thing to keep in mind. Don't go to those student visa/immigration agents until you've already made your mind. Those guys get a commission from the colleges they send you to, so they might try to screw you over.

Do all the research yourself, if you do want an agent's help, only use him for getting the paperwork done.

That's a tough one. I think if they are equal in all things except their faith then I think he should save the non Muslim. FYI, early vedic and avestan religions were very similar. The avestan religion became more concrete and separate and became zoroastrianism, and a lot of signature stuff of abrahamic texts come from zoroastrianism like the angels, the good vs evil, the judgement day and whatnot, in fact you can say that abrahamic faiths are semetic version of of the old aryan theistic religions

But IMO the most interesting of ancient Indian philosophies are the non theistic and deistic ones, unfortunately they are barely even heard of now a days.

My Afghan dad told me that we're "technically" Tajik. When I asked what he meant by that, he said that we don't "technically" didn't fall into any of the 14 ethnic groups, but we definitely weren't Pashtun (and less so the other 12) which "automatically" made us Tajik. I've asked him to clarify but he has no idea how to explain it in a way that is digestible or even comprehensible to me.

Note: he grew up in Kabul, I don't know if that has any effect on how culturally different he is to other Tajiks. From even my own experience big cities can tend to wash away old, smaller scale cultures and create a new all-inclusive one (see: the entirety of the USA since its conception)

Meh. I meant the "Romans" as in the Roman empire compared to the Persians. You could view the Achaemenids, Parthians and Sassanids as one overlapping Persian empire with some intermezzos (like the Greek conquests).

In that comparison, Greeks would not be the Achaemenids at all (Achaemenids would be Romans) but Greeks would be the Mesopotamians. Persians copied a lot of aspects of Mesopotamians such as their pantheon to some extent, and Mesopotamia is the more ancient civilisation. Just like Greece and Rome.
