Ohayou gozaimasu! Buenas tardes!
I'd like to cordially ask all friends from Japan and Colombia not to eat Piracatinga Fish. Fisherman in my country are killing Amazon river dolphin in order to use its flesh as bait to attract and catch the Piracatinga fish. Help us save the Boto Cor-de-rosa from extinction!

traditionally japanese dont eat Piracatinga Fish. the reason is probably the taste isnt good for japanese, and even if they manage to eat it getting it fresh is too difficult.
generally, river fishes are too smelly to be food so you dont eat any here except for some well known ones having a good taste. the same reason goes for carp. its never been popular here. you can still eat it at very special restaurants but its very expensive for the above reason.
