Vienna, which should be lovely. Always wanted to explore a highly cultured city with a rich history without travelling with my family, so this is the first holiday I've saved up for to go with someone my own age.

Gonna spend a lot of time walking about museums, galleries, landmarks, and maybe try and listen to an orchestra if there's a place for that. Probably won't be cheap but Austria is famous for its classical music. Also we may take a train one day during the week for a day visit in Bratislava across the border, just to see two cities in one trip.

The main thing we're worried about, well my gf is very paranoid that we'll get truck-of-peace'd in a big city, and I'm worried that muslim men might try and harass or molest her like they do to other European women. I'm not sure how the situation is like in Austria compared to Germany, France and Sweden though.

I tend to avoid the food businesses targeted towards tourists when I'm on holiday because it's always kind of overpriced and not that great. So usually I aim to eat "where the locals eat" and that usually means businesses owned by people who speak the native tongue more

I guess it's that real life isn't guided by morality, a lot of states just enforced their claims more successfully than others and won out way back when. In every conflict there's one side that comes out the better for it.
