It's a byproduct of having a society not born of the usual cycle of invasion/migration but rather an unnatural forced import+breeding program that then went awry.

Blacks in America are not "Africans" like those that come to our coast, or "Chinese" like those that come to your island.

They are nothing. They are just BLACK.
This is why Americans focus so much on race, it is literally the only thing that separates the two ethnic groups of original invaders+black slaves.

Note that their relationships with Mexicans and Canadians and Native Americans is much more "normal" and akin to the prejudices you'd find among the Han or the Koreans or the Serbs regarding their neighbors.

It's not less vicious, but it's just different. They have this component of RACIAL DIVIDE that will never be mended because of how unnatural its genesis was.

Plus their tendency to look at everything as if it was "eternal, biblical and from the beginning of time itself" does the rest.
