When i went to Spain and Cuba I saw what "white" unmixed spaniards look like. Even light skinned Mexicans look nothing like them, all mexicans have amerindian blood by some degree.

As a white Mexican living in America, no one can guess my ethnicity correctly. It has led to isolation from my community here in America because the mexicans with some native blood do not see me as a Mexican. Even though I know Spanish, I eat Mexican food daily, I listen to Mexican music both old and modern, and I constantly travel to Mexico to see family, I am never seen as Mexican enough. Everyone either assumes I am not Hispanic or that I am middle eastern. I go to university with a lot of international students and I have had people coming up to me speaking in Arabic, Italian, French, German, and even Russian. Now I dye my hair darker and tan just so that I can somewhat pass as Hispanic.
